Fruit Bearers
William is one of my right hand men at the church. He is a Bible institute student, a Sunday school teacher, and a faithful soul-winner.
Guillermo, a man who had been attending our church for a while, felt uncertain about his eternity and responded to the invitation. William, who is always in the front row, that day became an altar worker as well! He took Guillermo aside privately and led him to Jesus Christ. Part of the Great Commission is not just to win and disciple others, but to produce fruit bearers.
Following the Lord
After winning someone to the Lord, the next step we encourage them to take is following the Lord in believer’s baptism. Recently, we were able to baptize three. Javier, was saved by way of a conversation we had over Whatsapp. Doris was saved earlier and had been awaiting the appropriate time to take the plunge. Caren, a Venezuelan, was saved recently through the personal work of one of our members. We are so proud of believers when they publicly identify with their Savior.
Step by Step
I met Johan a few weeks after his wife starting attending our church. He was unsaved but open to the things of God because of the wonderful testimony of his wife. After a few meetings together, he finally bowed to receive Christ.
He later expressed interest in discipleship. We are currently about halfway through, and he is growing and beginning to mature. He wants to finish our discipleship program, get baptized, and then join the church. Praise God! He is doing the right thing, step by step!
The Wayuu
Through a series of contacts, I was able to meet a group of Wayuu Indian school teachers visiting Medellín from the Guajira region of Colombia. I was able to gift to almost 40 of them a brand new personal Bible. Pray that this will open a door for us to go there and preach to this isolated tribe.
