Called to Colombia
One of my visions is to have Colombia serve as an internship destination for people who are praying about missions. Last month Carlos Morales, a young Bible college graduate, came and stayed with us. He helped out in various ministries and got a small taste of missionary life during his stay. Later, God confirmed his burden and made his calling to Colombia clear. Pray for Carlos as he follows God’s leading. May God call more to Colombia!
Changing Lives
We had our annual youth camp and saw God do great things this year. 5 different churches from around Colombia participated. Volunteers worked hard as over 50 kids played, studied, and heard lots of dynamic preaching. By the time camp was over, 8 young people had surrendered to Jesus and believed on him in their hearts. Camp is always busy but it is well worth the time invested watching God impact and change many kids’ lives.
Followers of Jesus
His wife had prayed for many years that God would save him. In the first service in our new building he finally accepted Jesus. Since then, it has been such a blessing to disciple Guillermo. He wants to be a spiritual leader at home and on the job. After studying the discipleship lesson on baptism he said he was ready. It was a joy to baptize him along with four others, and support them as they followed Jesus.
Strengthening Families
We had our second married couples activity this year with our sister church, Iglesia Bautista Cristo el SeƱor, and Pastor Fredy Osorio. The theme was “vintage” and many dressed up in classic attire. We played fun games, heard inspiring marriage stories, and ate great food. Then Fredy preached to us and encouraged us to not just ‘be married’ but to have ‘strong marriages’. Our churches need strong families.
