March – April 2018

Mother and Daughter

Jeni came to our new adult singles group and was very excited and interested. We later visited her and her daughter Dianela and gave a clear presentation of the gospel to them. Dianela was soon on board with the message and starting to help us with her mom. Shortly after, they both bowed to receive Christ as Savior.

Catching the Vision

In the month of March we had our second annual Mission’s Month. We focused on worldwide missions and had guest speakers each Sunday. On the last Sunday we had a missions celebration lunch and received our faith promise commitments.

Praise God! The church is catching the vision! Our annual commitments increased by about 12%. We were able to take on a single Peruvian missionary doctor working in northern Iraq. We now support three Latin ministries: one local, one going to Israel, and one in Iraq. We also gave our missions surplus from the previous year to ten struggling Venezuelan churches. God is good!

Another highlight was when a young couple told me that God was confirming His call to them.  Pray for them. They are interested and praying about the Middle East.

I am not Ashamed

After a thirteen week discipleship with him and his wife, Jhoan decided it was time. He was no longer ashamed. He wanted to follow the Lord in baptism. He did, and gave a moving challenge to our church as well. Pray that his wife Malle would follow his example and get baptized too.

Where they Fit

May 25th through June 6th we will be hosting a group of nine visitors from the USA. Seven of those are young people searching for where they fit in worldwide missions. We will focus on church work projects and evangelism.

Please pray that God touches the hearts of each individual. Pray in addition, that God would be so gracious as to call a few of them here to Colombia to co-labor with us in the harvest fields capturing Colombia for Christ.
