Come and See
Last February my sending Pastor came to visit us in Colombia. While here, we made a visit to one of our family’s homes. There were many unbelieving relatives also present. I presented the Gospel and several young men trusted Christ. Since then, we have seen them discipled, baptized, and growing in church. Juan, one of the men saved on that visit, invited his girlfriend to church. The old adage ‘come and see’ still works as Luisa responded and was born again.
Church Growing
Our primary church has seen several saved with almost more joining this year than the previous year combined. One of the blessings has been to see many young families added to our community. While sharing a meal with one of these families, they told us that the preaching had really affected them in the past few months, and they knew it was time for them to join so they could get plugged in and start serving. It is such a blessing to see the church grow.
Building Progressing
It has now almost been a year since we bought our new church property. In that time we have made much progress. The project is designed and approved, the old structure demolished, the foundations completed, and a few weeks ago we starting building the building. The first set of columns are complete and the 2nd floor is being formed to pour. Praise God for the building progress!
Church Plants Advancing
Pastor Fredy Osorio and Javier Echeverry are faithfully laboring in the works God has called them to. Both works are preaching the Gospel and seeing people saved and baptized. Fredy has also recently resigned from his secular job by faith moving one step forward to becoming autonomous. Pray for these men as they take a stand for God’s word and their church plants advance.
