November – December 2024
Challenging
In early November we were privileged to be invited to a couple missions conferences. We reported of all God is doing in Colombia and of new opportunities. We preached the gospel and missions, praying that God would save souls and call more laborers into missions. Praise God he answered! A man from Ecuador got saved after preaching in a Spanish service. We also talked with college students about doing internships with us and several responded. Keep challenging them!
Fortifying
It has been a priority for us to keep working together with our church planters, even though they are gone working in the harvest fields. We recently made a trip back to Pitalito, Colombia to visit our newest church planter, Javier. This time was extra special as our first church planter, Fredy, went with us. We prayed together, ate and laughed together, and ministered together. It is important to build each other up so that together we can all remain fortified in the battle.
Investing
We decided to do something special for the children in the church. In December, we had a mini-vacation Bible school for them. We challenged them to invite their friends. They did, and we had a great turnout. We had lots of fun and also preached to them. The child who brought the most visitors received a scooter as a prize. We cannot forget the children. They are worth the investment.
Winning
Unitarian Pentecostalism (a denomination that doesn’t believe in the trinity, just Jesus) is a large movement in Colombia. Efrain (a young man from that movement) recently visited our services. He was moved, and afterwards our deacon William (who also came from that movement) was able to speak with him about biblical salvation. After hearing it clearly explained, he was won to Christ!
