It is said that Hudson Taylor inspired up to 850 missionaries to surrender to service in China during his lifetime. While I may not reach that same goal, my intention is the same. We had the privilege of having intern Josiah Hassinger with us for six weeks. We tried to expose him to as much ministry as possible during his stay. His Spanish improved greatly too as he lived with one of our national church families. He was a blessing. We pray he was inspired enough to return to serve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our rental agreement expired at the end of June. Our goal was to have the new church project to the point where we could move in and start using it at that time. We are excited to share that we met our goal and we are in the new building. Although the entire building is barely roughed in, we have been able to hold services on the second floor. Other floors will become accessible as construction advances. Praise the Lord we have seen people saved every Sunday since arriving!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The first church planter we sent out, Fredy Osorio, is doing a great job with his new church about 30 minutes West of us. He recently had an evangelistic Sunday and invited me to preach. The church was packed with chairs lining the walls. By God’s grace, during the invitation 6 people responded by placing their faith in Jesus Christ. I am so glad we can be co-laborers and work together for Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My home church invited me to preach their middle school summer youth camp in July. I excitedly agreed as I love young people and love the Idaho mountains. The theme was S.E.R.E. (survival, evasion, resistance, and escape). It was a great camp with a good group of young people. Two young men placed their faith in Christ and one rededicated his life to Him. It is always a privilege to help at home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
