Although San Cristobal is a suburb of Medell\u00edn, it is a large one with a population of around 150,000 people. We sent Fredy Osorio and his family there in April of 2022 to start Iglesia Bautista Cristo el Se\u00f1or. We have not ceased to be surprised at what God has done and proud of them for how they\u2019ve developed. God continues to reach many through their ministry. It was a blessing to see this elderly couple reached through them who also decided to be baptized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We have been ministering in Medell\u00edn since April of 2011. There have been ups and downs, growing pains and financial stresses, building projects and moves, and all the while God has been faithful. We just bought a property and are in process of getting building plans approved. We are excited for what the future holds. We recently had a Salvation Sunday where we encouraged all to bring visitors. We were blessed to see Francisco (of Syrian descent) trust Jesus after services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pitalito is in south-west Colombia. It is a twenty-four hour trip from Medell\u00edn. In 2023, we sent Javier Echeverry and his family there to plant Iglesia Bautista Siguiendo a Jes\u00fas. It is a violent area due to the FARC, a notorious armed Colombian terrorist group. In fact, their church was just recently robbed. In spite of that, God recently saved these two during the church\u2019s 2nd<\/sup> year anniversary service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In San Mart\u00edn, a village alongside the Colombian Amazon river, I got to speak with Eliana. She told me about a dream she had while away about being in San Mart\u00edn. She saw Jesus, went to hug him, and he told her, \u201cNot yet, you\u2019re not ready.\u201d I told her she wasn\u2019t ready because she wasn\u2019t saved and our conversation was appointed by God.
